Claire the chair
Claire the Chair starts her life when Office A purchases her from Zoot and she is looking good and feeling fine.
Claire is guaranteed for 5 years (fair wear and tear) but she would like to remain useful (an asset) for much, much longer. After a few years her hopes of a useful long life are dashed when she learns she is no longer needed, and her greatest fears realised… to be buried alive and useless for an eternity…
It’s lucky for Claire that Zoot OFB would never let this waste of usefulness happen we love Claire and our planet. Office A advertised Claire and her friends on our national database, and after she had been ‘virtually’ viewed a few times she learnt that her new home was just around the corner with a new owner called Office B.
Well Claire was chuffed to bits. Not only had she been useful to her first owners, she had also made them some money when she was sold – saving them money on not paying skip hire, labour and land fill charges – but most important of all she knew she would never be buried alive and useless again. Thanks to the Zoot Way she could look forward to being re-used and recycled forever.
Claire lived a long and useful life with three more offices and proved just as useful to them as her first owners. Her twilight years were spent being useful at a local social club.
The day came when she wasn’t as useful as she once was – what was to happen to her? Zoot organised her collection from the club, and she was put into a melting pot, polymer was added and she was born again…
And do you know what happened to her? She was purchased again by Office A.
When Claire was reborn and returned to her very first owners, she met her great-great uncle. He was very old and worn and although his owners had tried to sell him they had no luck. Claire told him not to worry because even though Office A had not bought him from Zoot originally, they had ordered new chairs from them and he was to be exchanged and recycled, and born again.
Claire knew she would meet her great-great uncle again somewhere.
