Choosing the right Technochair
Seat height and working height
The majority of Technochair model references are numbered in a way that denotes the chair height range. Those ending with 1 or 4 are high chairs, 2 or 5 are intermediate chairs and 3 or 6 are low chairs.
Glides or castors
Safety at work is paramount! Free wheeling castors often present a safety hazard on hard floor sufaces and should only be considered for low height chairs on carpeted flooring.Low height chairs are fitted with 'brake unloaded castors' as standard although glides are available. High and intermediate chairs are fitted with glides as standard.
Air filters
A high efficiaency particle (HEPA) filter is fitted as standard to all Sterile and ESD Cleanroom chairs. Fitted to the underside of the seat the HEPA filter is protected from damage and will prevent migration of particles from the seat into controlled areas in accordance with US Federal Standard 209E - Class 10.
Industrial and technical enviroment requirements
The following symbols are alongside the seating appropriate for the ares indicated. Where the 'HEPA Filter' symbol is shown it indicates that those chairs are fitted with the filter as standard.
